  • Saturday May 6 is National Scrapbook Day. Marianne and Robin are running a Scrapbook Crop (an event where papercrafters gather to work on their favorite hobby, much like a quilting guild). For more information, contact Marianne at the shop or visit the Facebook group page.

As Spring ‘finally’ begins to arrive, Crafting is still the thing to do.

Demo for Saturday (4/22): Backgrounds and more playing with Distress Oxide inks. Starts at 10:30am.

Next Week (4/29): (Royal Scot Crafter Sale Day!) A short demo on heat embossing in the afternoon (around 1:00pm).

New arrivals to the store include stamps and dies from Spellbinder’s Bibi Hummingbird series, wooden handled palette knives, and a new Peacock embossing folder from Lisa Horton (these won’t last, so get yours quickly)

Special Sale on Die Cutting Machines Ends Saturday

We are taking orders for two die cutting machines:

1) The Sizzix Big Shot will be available to order for $169. This is a standard sized Big Shot with a 6 inch wide platform that will handle most available dies and embossing folders. Included in the box is the machine, platform and cutting plates.

2) The Creative Couture GoPower & Emboss Machine will be available to order for $229. This is a large sized (about 9 inch wide) cutting machine that is electrically powered. Included in the box is the machine, cutting plates, embossing mat, metal shim, 30 dies and 2 embossing folders. For more information on this machine click this link Be sure to ask Marianne how she likes hers!!

The way this program works:

a) We will take orders at the store starting immediately until April 22. We are asking for a $25 deposit.

b) On Saturday April 22 we will order thru our suppliers for immediate shipment.

c) We will notify you when the machine arrives for pickup and payment balance.

Stampers! hope you have an enjoyable Easter Weekend

We will be closed tomorrow (April 7) on Good Friday.

Saturday we will be open 10:00 am to 5:00 as per regular hours.

The Saturday Demo this week will be Heat Transfer Foiling using the Spellbinders and Creative Couture’s heat transfer machines. The demo will start at 10:30 and run until 2:00 with a break for lunch.

There will be no demo on April 15 (Robin and Marianne will be running a papercrafting crop at Strawberry Vale. The demo on April 22 will feature Lawn Fawn (more info below).

Stampers is proud to announce a new online class.

As part of our affiliation with Crafter’s Home, we are excited to announce a partnership class with Lisa Horton!

Lisa has designed an amazing EXCLUSIVE embossing folder with matching die, stencil set and a sentiment die set just for Crafter’s Home stores! In addition, Lisa has a special card class featuring three stunning cards using these products. This Blooming Wheelbarrow set is going to be a very versatile set to have in your collection and perfect for any reason and season! Lisa will guide you thru the process of inking and stenciling to get the most out of these products plus sharing a few hints, tricks and additional ideas using matching products that will be available only to class participants.

This class is offered as a live virtual class Saturday, June 3rd at 10:00 am Pacific, allowing you to participate and interact if needed as well as ask questions and follow along safely from the comfort of your home. When the video is uploaded after the live session you can return to watch over and over again. You can enjoy the class live or at whatever time suits you as the class will be available on demand.

Sign ups are now available at the store. The full cost of the class is $65 (+GST) which includes the exclusive embossing folder, layering stencils, and dies; the online class; and full access to the private facebook group holding the class. New Arrivals Area

The front area of the store has been reconfigured and now we’re excited to show off our New Arrivals Wall. As new product is received by the store, and posted to Facebook, they will be displayed on the wall and on the table to the right of the door entry. When newer items arrive, then the ‘older’ new items will be moved to their normal places on the shelves. So each time you come into the store, you can always see ‘What’s New!’.

This week we received Lavinia Stamps, Ciao Bella paper pads, new stencil brushes, Lisa Horton folder and stencils, Templates and stencils, and much more. Be sure to watch our Facebook page for new arrivals.

Lawn Fawn Order

Daylight Savings Time

Hello Blog,

Yet another reminder that we lose an hour of crafting time Saturday night – Sunday morning as Pacific Daylight Time starts officially Sunday morning. Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour Saturday night.

Anne’s recovery from surgery is going well, (except for maybe getting a little bit bored). Her tablet and phone are getting a lot of use, and she would welcome any messages and emails. She would also be glad for her friends to visit and she is beginning to start some crafting.

If you’d like to know how to reach out to Ann, contact Marianne and/or Robin at the store. Please excuse the ‘untidyness’ as we reconfigure the front of the store area, soon to be known as ‘Ann’s Creative Corner’.

New Deliveries this week included:

  • More of the Tim Holtz Distress color ‘Lost Shadow
  • Lots of Quilling tools
  • Restocking of essential supplies
  • The Tim Holtz ruler.

With more on the way with a delivery scheduled this coming midweek.

New products delivered to the store are posted to our Facebook page as soon as we can get the pictures taken and posted.

We are ok if people want to place items on hold, as long as they are picked up within a week. If not the item held will be placed back in stock. You can comment on the Facebook image, or send an email to robin@stampers.ca. Please know that we are not on the computer 24×7 so response may be delayed until we get on the computer…
