This is proving harder to write than I thought it would be.
First of all, I want to say THANK YOU for over thirty years of fun, creativity, friendship, and incredible support for not only the store, but for Steve and I personally.
God knows we could not have done it without you, and we have been aware of this every minute of all those years. You weren’t just customers. You shared our LIVES (and what a circus it was at times!) and then turned around and invited us to share yours.
All those classes and workshops, stamp club, late night crafting sessions (there was no word for”crop” back then) when we brought in Haultain Fish and Chips, or pizza, the incredible retreats with Brenda and Marjie, the specialty weekends with Tim Holtz, Marjie, Brenda, Laura Kwok, Haraldine and Deanna, and so many more! We built a community together and became a family. I look back and my heart is so full of memories and gratitude . (I knew this would be hard to write, but good grief, you have no idea.)
I wasn’t sure where to put this, but I feel like I have to make mention of a couple of people who have left us- dear Kay and Cathy. (Oh yes, I remember all the others, too- I have the Gold’s book with so many of the names with a cross beside them). These people were a huge part of almost every gathering, and God knows they will always be missed. They will always live on in our card and retreat swap items, in our Technique Books (remember those!) and most of all, our memories. Bless them all.
I will be open tomorrow- Monday, January 27th, from 10-5 for the last real day of sales (yes it is ALL 50% off now- except for the 75% off stuff which is still 75% off, lol.) There is LOTS still on the shelves! Tomorrow, I, with Carol and Trudy, will pack up what is left for the last time- Carol will take what she thinks will sell for her through FB, and the rest will go to a charity that contacted me. (You are welcome to stop by!)
I want to repeat here what I have said in the store. I am not dropping off the face of the earth.- not at all. The website will go- (heaven knows I am not technologically gifted enough anyway) but the STAMPERS! FaceBook page will stay. On it will be the information for any crops that will be going on, any retreats organized, and of course the Papercrafters Sales (next one being March 22nd, 2025!) Anytime anyone has questions or suggestions, you can find me here. This will also be the place to see if and when I maybe do a few workshops in my home. (I will still be doing what we love to do- maybe even more- but just not doing it as a business anymore!) But I can now take part in some of the fun events you all do outside of the store.
I will still be collecting bottles and donations for Andi’s friend Ginnie in the home, and of course for Lucy Irvine Foundation Europe and her animal sanctuary there. (I sent $1500 to L.I F.E. just after Christmas, thanks to card sales and donations.) The difference is that I will be able to pick up the bottles, etc, myself. Just let me know where and when, and I will come.
This is long enough- I think I have said it all.
Stay on the FB page for any updates. (And feel free to send me a friend request if you like.)
Thank you again for everything always. I so appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart.
Love,
Ann
